In 1812, Swan & Edgar purchased the former site of the Western Mail Coach Offices to set up their Piccadilly store, and now, we commemorate this key moment in the brand’s history with this hand-assembled Western Mail Tachymeter Automatic watch.

Taking its inspiration from the traditional British coaching clocks of the 19th century, this elegantly designed timepiece is powered by its 163 part 20 jewel automatic movement, and features a striking graphite slate face with clearly marked contrasting steel diamond cut indices, mirroring the iconic style of the all-important coach clock which would ensure the mail was delivered on time.

The day and month sub dials are fashioned in graphite slate and midnight blue, while the Moon Phase functions are clearly displayed to complete its striking façade. Housed in a stainless steel skeleton caseback domed case and featuring a crown with a serrated edge that supports the Swan & Edgar logo, this hand assembled, limited edition watch is furnished with a hand-waxed ash black leather strap with a Swan & Edgar logo buckle that adds the perfect finishing touch to this heritage-inspired timepiece.
